It is a small intimate gathering. Don't expect a large show. It is an up close and personal thing.

Love the Blacksheep Inn as a music venue. In my opinion, the kitchen closes too early and the drinks are a little pricy but if you're looking for top notch music this is a great place to go.

Cool place to check out some live music. It is a small/cozy venue. I was expecting it to be larger. Worth the drive from Ottawa for sure. Definitely hoping to go again soon to see more bands.

If you follow Canadian independent music, you (A) already know about this place and (B) have to make the trip up here for a live show.Get there early if you want a place to park. There is municipal parking up the street by the General Store if you miss your window.Drink options are a bit limited but honestly, the draw here is the incredible talent that Paul books. So grab some tickets and settle in for a good show... Or several.This place is an absolute treasure and a Canadian music landmark.

Laid back, good food, nice place to unwind especially during the warm summer months on the patio.

First time visit, the food was definitely pub food, quality of food was average. Not a great selection on beer, more of a microbrewery. The band was good but had a message to send. Overall rating is fair to good.

Manager / owner needs a vacation but the band was awesome. While the blackseep in still draws a crowd and produces great shows the manager could be a little more pleasant with her customers. I am sure that last night was not the first time patrons wanted to join 2 tables together to accomodate a group over 4 people. Caused a much bigger deal then necessary.

We were up to see Patrick Watson on Tuesday. Such a special venue - intimate, great sound, and really friendly staff! Loved the experience! Looking forward to playing there on May 10th!!!

Would go a long way if the improved their beer selection, very few to choose from and not a craft brew in the house. They did have a decent homemade burger on the other side of the place.

Interesting venue for events. The bar and food are 2 separate organizations so you have to order separately. Food is pretty decent. I enjoyed the poutine here.

This was our first visit ever and we were a group of six for lunch. The place was empty which gave us some reservation on how good the food was. Once we placed our order the place filled up quickly. Best burger I've had in a long time and the fries were excellent. You got to try their gravy. I'll be back!

I came here for a concert and found the venue to be perfect. It's so intimate, the town is a great backdrop, the band's who come here are great and the atmosphere is awesome too. Reasonable prices for beers!

I went to see a show and it was surprisingly amezing. The places is great, inexpensive and have awesome artists. The venue is wonderful and I recommend it. From someone who isn't from Wakefield, it was also a good excuse the spend the evening in there.

Warm day for a drive and lunch. I enjoyed a cold beer and pulled pork. Very tasty and tender. Service was slow but this allowed us to relax and enjoy the view.

Went and saw Craig Cardiff April 12. He was great. Funny, kind, entertaining. The Black sheep staff are always great to deal with. The only downside at this time of year is the lack of parking...but somehow everyone finds a spot somewhere.

An interesting and fun place for live music. Looking pretty rough in the daylight, but it is 90 years old, and the team do a great job.I have edited this to reflect the fact that I went back and I ate this time. It was great! I shouldn't have been so arrogant in my first review saying I wouldn't eat there.

Always a great place to see a show. Great food, decent selection of beer. Arrive early to get a seat if you want one. More seating than a lot of venues, but still limited and usually all taken by 7:30ish.

Easily one of my favorite venues to see a show! Drove up for dinner and a show last night, 20 minute drive is peanuts! I enjoy driving into Wakefield and being hit by how good the Air is! Don't take my word for it, just go!!!!!

Amazing experience. I expected a hole in the wall place. It kind of is but their accoustics are amazing. Get there early for shows as it fills up quick.

Great venue for live music. Patio is excellent, with a great view of the river. 4 stars because the BBQ they serve needs work.

Good food big portions

Sunny Day, lots of people and great spot on the deck to watch the world go by. Service was casual, friendly and fast. Not fancy but great spot to chug a few brews and enjoy the sun.

Water tastes funny, but this place has great shows and a good selection of beer. Not there for water.

The staff is helpful but could use more help outside. It was a nice day and it was np relaxing in the views. It was worth it when I tasted the poutine. Rich thick and more than enoughBEST POUTINE EVER 💖
